紋の中は傾斜があって

立体的に成るよう彫ります。

◎　仏足・仏手

 

先で仏様の手足を彫る時の

為に練習します。

簡単そうですが、指の太さ、

反り曲がり具合が

とても苦労します。

in advance.

It seems simple, but the fingers' thickness

and the various positions make it very difficult.

 

◎　お地蔵さん

 

初めての仏様です。

頭は、丸坊主、衣の皺も簡単です。

でも愛くるしい表情がいい作品です。

台座も制作しますが、蓮の葉の

フォルムを彫るのが大変でした。

 

Jizo

 

This is the first Buddha.

 

The head is bald, and the wrinkles of the clothing is easy.

A lovely expression makes the product good.

It also has a pedestal, but the leaves of the lotus

were difficult to carve.

◎　地蔵菩薩仏頭

 

先で立像を制作しますので、

仏頭は、その練習です。

何と言っても眼と鼻および

口の形を奇麗に作ろうとする

のですが、うまく行きません。

失敗したら取り返しがつかないと

言う思いで一杯になります。

しかし、木材というのは

ある程度リカバリーが

効きますので安心して下さい。

 

 Bald Buddha Head

 

We will create a standing statue,

so we will practice the Buddha head.

I have attempted to carve the eyes,

nose, and mouth prettily,

but it doesn't turn out well.

Once you fail, it is impossible to redo.

However, with soft wood recovery

can be done to some extent,

so please be assured.

 

 

◎　釈迦如来仏頭

 

初めての螺髪に挑戦です。

毛髪を丸く彫り上げていくの

ですが実際は、三角刀で頭に

沿って筋を入れ交差している角を

平刀で彫っていきます。

腕が上がっていけば、角を丸く

されたらいいと思います。

 

 

 

 It is my first time to challenge spiral curls.  

Although hair is carved in circles,

the triangular gouge and flat chisel are used.

As your skills improve,

you can create a more curved surface.

 

 

◎　聖観音仏頭

 

お顔は勿論ですが、髪飾りも

苦労します。

よく構造をみて制作しないと

思ってもみない

髪型に成ってしまいます。

 

 

 

 

 

 St. Guanyinfotou

 

The face is a given,

but the hairstyle here is also very difficult.

Without constant use of references,

it will end up with an inconceivable hairstyle.

◎　救世観音

 

お地蔵さんに続く立像です。

全体的にシンプルなフォルムで

比較的早く出来上がります。

 

Kuse Kannon

 

It is a statue that follows the Jizo.

In overall simple form

I finished relatively quickly.

◎　地蔵菩薩立像

 

本格的の仏像制作に成ります。

道具や台座等も合わせて

制作します。

 

I made a full-scale Buddha statue. 

The staff, pedestal, and other parts

are also made with it.

 

 

 

◎　釈迦如来坐像

 

初めての座像です。

座禅を組んだ形を表現する

難しさがあります。

全体のバランスをよくみて

制作しなければ成りません。

 

 

 

 

 

It is the first seated statue. 

It is difficult to make the form express meditation

in Zen Buddhism. 

One must look at the overall balance

in making the statue.
